The International School of Venice was founded in 1993 as a full-time English Primary School.
September 2000 saw the opening of the Middle School and September 2001 our Nursery School.
We accept children of every nationality, and pupils can be admitted into our classes during the course of the academic year,
following an interview and on the basis of previous school records.
Our classes feature a low number of pupils (a maximum of 20 children), to give every student a personal education, appropriate to
the child's specific needs.
The language used in our school is English. Italian is taught in every class from Year 1 and throughout the Middle School,
for 4 - 5 hours per week, which increases, as the children get older. In the Middle School the children also study a third
language as part of their curriculum. We also offer additional courses of English or Italian for pupils admitted during the
course of the academic year.
The school is equipped with a rich bilingual library, a variety of up to date educational aids, audio-visual aids, classroom
computers and a separate computer room equipped for group work and Internet access.
