Knowledge and respect of the regulations of the school is of great importance. Firstly, children must learn to have respect for each other, which means their
companions, teachers and other staff members. The children are stimulated and helped to gradually adopt responsive ways of behaviour to such rules.
The school's
approach to discipline is therefore, primarily, positive, putting emphasis on good behaviour; it must be characterised, however, by firmness and consistency in cases
of both correct and incorrect behaviour. In cases of inappropriate behaviour, disciplinary measures will be taken according to the seriousness of the case, in the
following order:
I) a verbal warning
II) a punishment - this may be given by any staff member during the first break following the infringement.
III) A disciplinary note - this will be sent to the parents, who should then sign and return it, showing awareness of the child's behaviour. Three disciplinary notes can
result in a suspension from school.
IV) Suspension - this measure is executed by the Director who decides upon the length of the suspension.

The period of the school lunch is also considered a time of education. The teachers eat with the children, supervising the flow of the meal and ensuring that the
children are taught correct table manners. The meals - 3 courses - are prepared by specialist caterers and the organic menu is chosen under the supervision
of dieticians. In the case of a child with particular dietary needs, the family is asked to inform the school before the beginning of the academic year.

Parents must inform the school about any illnesses or medical problems concerning their children. The school works in collaboration with the
local health authority (ULSS 12) to monitor the children's health. Pupils may be excused from physical education upon the request of their
parents or by presentation of an appropriate medical certificate in the cases of long term exemption. In the case of a light injury at school,
the school staff will care for the pupil, should greater assistance be required parents will be informed. If the parents are not available the
child will be taken to the nearest first-aid station. All pupils are insured against all accidents at school, during school trips or other outdoor
activities.

Work in class is carried out using the appropriate didactic materials
(books, atlases, videos, CDs etc.) most of which come from England.
